Then why haven't you heard of them? Well chances are that you have. They were known as Monster earlier. Why change an established brand name you ask? Well a lawsuit. Copyright infringement and stuff. They decided not to get into a legal quagmire and opted for a change in their name. The new name that they have gone for is BlueFur. Now that doesn't sound anything like a hosting service but who cares really.

BlueFur you ask??? Well if nothing else it fits quite well with their site's mascot. That cute little furry guy is quite a memorable thing if you ask me. With you expecting some weird geometrical shape like other Web 2.0 sites this is quite refreshing. The way they write their name in that furry font is quite interesting. Considering that they are targeting Canada based companies the whole look and feel of the site is very chilly. But "Experience the legend" as their tag line??? Come on give me a break.

Apart from all this they provide excellent hosting services and thats the point right? Who cares if it is called BlueFur or BlueHorns as long as they give value for your money. And they have one of the cheapest plans you will find on the internet. At $4.95 it is a steal. This particular plan provides about 500 MB of disk space and 50 GB transfer limit i mean the bandwidth. Ya thats quite good if you wanna blog or host a couple of websites with moderate traffic. Now if you are a regular reader of John Chow's blog or preferably a feed reader then you get a tip of on some important features which are not mentioned in the plans at BlueFur. Now John Chow is definitely going to thank me for encouraging you all to go and subscribe his feeds.

These days reading a blog is so beneficial one reason is quite obvious that you enjoy reading them but besides that once in a while you get a tip off on contests like this one. Ya you guessed it right you can be a part of this name changing procession. Now what do you to do ? You have to review there name and get a free domain for that. Ya you heard it right an absolutely free domain. You can find more information about it on their blog. The contest is called "Review Our New Name And Get A Free Domain". Well i got to know about this from John Chow well ya reading John Chow is quite advantageous.
